On Saturday, May 18, 2024. Pembroke First United Women in Faith were graciously led in the 2024 Mission u study by our District UWF President, Ms. Daisy Dye of St Peter UMC in Hamlet, NC. We were grateful to welcome 22 attendees from six churches. Our attentive group was engaged in active conversation as our holy text, “Living the Kin-dom, Exploring the Lord’s Prayer as a Spiritual Practice for Social Transformation” opened our hearts and minds. We searched together the heart of Jesus’ good news and what fresh vision it offers us as we seek to be in mission today.

The participating churches were St. Matthews, St. Paul’s, Ashpole, First UMC—Pembroke, Trinity Episcopal Church (Lumberton), and Rockingham (Daisy).
